9 years ago today

I flew to the states to see Josh graduate from bootcamp. We knew we were going to get married on liberty weekend. But our families didn't know. We had been planning for this the whole time he was there. Every time he called me, he would give me more information on who to call and what we would need. On they day I flew out my parents took me to the airport. They made a comment about how heavy my suitcase was. I had packed my whole life in that suitcase. I knew I wasn't coming home. I felt terrible lying to my parents. But I knew if I told them our plans, they would of not let me board that plane.

I can't believe that it's been 9 yrs since that day. We were 2 young kids and now we are a family with 3 amazing children. We've had some rough times but always managed to make it through. I couldn't imagine my life without him in it. I am thankful for him. He's blessed me with 3 of the most precious gifts I could ever receive. I can't wait to grow old with him.

Love it! I think this is something that a lot of military families are pretty much forced to do if they want to be together. My husband and I were together 4 months before we got married and we're still going strong. It's possible to make it work, but I think so many rush into it that it doesn't a majority of the time. I'm so happy for you and your family.
