Disney World and Sea World

This weekend my brother and sister in law came to visit. It had been far to many years since we had seen them. Plus it was our first time meeting our niece. So since they were here for the weekend, we decided to go to Disney World (Magic Kingdom) and Sea World.

Disney was fun but we just didn't have enough time in the day to see everything in the park. The kids had fun though and that's all that mattered to us. We wanted it to be all about them. My 5 yr old had the most magical experience with Cinderella. It was truely magical and made me tear up. My 3 yr old was so happy he got to see and meet Buzz Lightyear. We are planning our trip to go next year when daddy gets home from Deployment and we can fly Nana down. We're hoping to spend a week down there.

There are so many more pictures. I'll post some more later

A gift to my parents

This weekend my parents came down to spend it with the kids. This was their last weekend before we move. Right now we're only 5 hours away but come Thursday we'll be 12 hour away :( My mom is taking this move especially hard. Her and my dad are so good to my kids. The kids love spending time with them. So I was trying to think of something to make for them, from the kids of course. WE made them cute coffee cups but I wanted to do something better. Now mind you, I lack crafty skills. I am just not a crafty person no matter how hard I try. My mom always says to the kids "I love you to the moon and back" so I thought it would be really cute to make a sign for them to hang in their room from the kids. I was going to make one for each kid to hang in their room too but after making one I've decided to just order some from

PCSing, I should be a pro by now

This is not my first rodeo but it sure does feel that way. I don't know if this happens to other Military wives but every time we move it feels like the first time. I can never remember how we did things last time. This is our first move with 3 kids. That alone is stressing me out. I have to pack and organize for 5 people plus 2 pets. Families bigger then mine, I have no idea how you do it. But I give you mad props.

Today to mover came to pack. The company scheduled two pack days but apparently we don't have as much crap as they thought. The packers got it all done today. We have decided to camp it out in the house for the next 2 nights. Friday the movers come to load it all and my parents come to take the kids for the weekend. All weekend I get to clean and paint the house...yay.....not! I always feel like I leave my house nicer then when we moved in.

I think the one thing I'm dreading the most is the drive. We have to make a 12 hr drive. We have 2 cars so I will drive the van with 2 kids and the dog. My husband will drive his hunk of junk with a kid and the cat. At this point I'm just praying his car makes it to Florida. I am fully prepared to sell it for scrap if it doesn't. lol.

Busy Busy

This week was a busy one. My 5 yr old had to have dental surgery :( poor girl was scared but it all went well. She had 2 teeth pulled and the Tooth Fairy left her 4 dollars. She was so excited!

And in recovery. She was such a trooper.

Last night I woke up to feed the baby, who at 15 months is still waking up in the middle of the night. Anyways I stumble downstairs to put milk in his bottle. The light above the sink is on as well as the light on the deck. As I walked to the fridge something on the deck caught my eye. As I look out I see this big ass raccoon having his way with my trash that I forgot to take down to the can before bed. Damn critter. He's lucky I don't have a bb gun or I would of shot at him.

A dusting of snow

Last night we literally got a dusting of snow. Maybe an inch total. And I get a call from the school saying it's a code blue and their closed and then the base has a 2 hr delay. Seriously?! It seems to me that we're calling these closings and delays way to early. A friend of mine on a military message board I'm on www.supportonthehomefront.com told me about this funny commercial that Dodge did to kind of make fun of the Snowmageddon that people get worked up over.

This is what we woke up to this morning. THIS is the snowmageddon that canceled school and delayed the base. As you can see, the grass is still showing.

Our whole inch accumulation

Because of this "blizzard" the base clinic opened at 10 which made me reschedule a very important appointment that I had for 9:55. This whole thing made my day a mess. Tomorrow will be even crazier I'm sure. Adapt and overcome right?

Wonderful weekend!

This past weekend I flew to Tennessee to see a friend that lives in Kentucky. When I first got to the south I have to say that it was a truly amazing experience. People in the south are so nice. I'd never experienced something like that living up north.

Saturday we got up early and drove about an hour and a half this really cute Donut Shop called Yum Yums. A friend of hers owns it and starting to franchise it. So if you ever see one, stop in. Her donuts are way better then Dunkin or Crispy Creme. So while the guys fixed up buggies, us girls went to the Jack Daniels Distillery in Lynchburg TN. It was pretty cool to learn all the stuff about it. Like that Jack was 14 when he opened his distillery and that he was 5 foot 2 inches tall and wore a size 4 shoe. He was a tiny little man.

Then on Sunday we went and met another military wife friend that we met online years ago. So we drove to Ft. Knox. She was just as amazing in person as she is online. I'm so glad I got to meet her.

Monday we went to Nashville which was a blast. We went to the Country Music Hall of Fame. That in itself was a great experience. I got to see so much great memorabilia. I highly recommend it to anyone that take a trip down there.

Then Tuesday I was to fly home. I missed my flight and had to catch a different one but thankfully I was able to get home that night. All in all it was a great trip with a great friend.

People are dumb

So today I took my dog to the vet. She needed her annual blood work done. My dog is a black lab. She is suppose to be pure bred but she has a beard and a wirery coat but whatever she's an amazing dog and we love her the same. Okay so we are at petsmart and I hate to go there b/c of the comments we get. My dog is right up there with my children. So please tell me why on earth people think it's okay to say things like "bless her heart look at her scruffy face" or "oh my what breed is he" Okay well first of all SHE wears a bright neon pink collar so HE is a SHE thankyouverymuch. Second of all, would you ever walk up to a child's parent and say "bless her heart, what's wrong with her face?" NO YOU WOULDN'T. So why on gods green earth would you say that to a pet owner? It pisses me off so bad. She is my dog and she is precious.

So then we are in the check out and the lady at the register says "oh my, she looks like she's mixed with some type of terrier" I ignore her. Then she says "Oh and it looks like she has some black on her tongue, she might have a little Chow in her too" Really lady? You work at a pet store and you are stupid. Having black spots on a dogs tongue is nothing but pigment. It has nothing to do with a dogs breed. People are morons and it's worse when you work at a pet store and say really dumb things regarding animals.

We love our bearded lady <3
