Valentines Day

This year for Ella's class we decided to do suckers with lips for the girls and mustaches for the boys. I found a great blog that had printable templates of the lips and mustaches for me to use http://blonde-designs.squarespace.com/blonde-designs-blog/2010/2/3/lip-and-moustache-lollipops.html her daughters turned out super cute. So this is what we did. I printed out her templates and traced them on a piece of cardboard. Then used those to trace on to construction paper. That part was super easy. Then I took a hole puncher and punched a hole to insert the sucker stick through. Viola! That was it. It was super easy.

We started out with our supplies

and our end result was these pretty little things. I just have to wait for the Princess to come home to write everyone's name on them.

I'm sure they'll be a class hit!!

My journey

I've decided to blog about my weight loss journey. And it will be a journey. I will have ups and downs. Good days and bad days. On top of my weight loss journey there will be a deployment. I'm trying to use this time to bust my hump and be a new woman for my husband when he comes back home in the fall. I want him to step off the ship and see a whole new woman waiting for him. I'm going to try my hardest to not let negativity get the best of me and bring me down. We are all different in our own ways. There are going to be things about me that others don't like. But it's me. This is who I am. Love me or hate me, it's up to you. I'm not loosing weight for anyone but myself and my husband. So welcome to my journey. Today I weighed in at
gross right? yeah tell me about it. But a few weeks ago I was 231.6. My goal weight is 170lbs. My mini goal is 199. I just want to be under 200lbs. So 28lbs to go! I can do this. Weightloss and deployment will not break me. I will defeat both.

underways suck

Being a military wife is not easy. I feel like I haven't seen my husband is forever. This particular underway has been going by so slow. And on top of that deployment is staring me right in the face. It doesn't matter how long you've been a military wife, this lifestyle never gets easier. I look forward to the day my husband gets out and is home everyday with us. Not until then will out family be complete.

best 30 days ever!

My husband has had the past 21 days off and they have been great. In 9 short days my husband will have to report to his new ship. So back to long work days and deployments. In these past 21 days we've had so much fun as a family. I've loved hanging out with him and watching him teach his kids how to fish. The memories he made with them were priceless.

Our new house is finally coming together and looks like a home. We bought a new (to us) van and it's prudy. Fully loaded and everything. My husband said as we drove off the lot "we're shittin in the big woods now, this is the nicest vehicle we're ever had" lol but he's right.

On top of all that, yesterday I joined a gym. I get 2 hrs of free daycare a day. I'm most excited about that. I'm excited to finally be skinny again too. It's been far too long. I'm tried of being fat. I can't wait!!

Disney World and Sea World

This weekend my brother and sister in law came to visit. It had been far to many years since we had seen them. Plus it was our first time meeting our niece. So since they were here for the weekend, we decided to go to Disney World (Magic Kingdom) and Sea World.

Disney was fun but we just didn't have enough time in the day to see everything in the park. The kids had fun though and that's all that mattered to us. We wanted it to be all about them. My 5 yr old had the most magical experience with Cinderella. It was truely magical and made me tear up. My 3 yr old was so happy he got to see and meet Buzz Lightyear. We are planning our trip to go next year when daddy gets home from Deployment and we can fly Nana down. We're hoping to spend a week down there.

There are so many more pictures. I'll post some more later

A gift to my parents

This weekend my parents came down to spend it with the kids. This was their last weekend before we move. Right now we're only 5 hours away but come Thursday we'll be 12 hour away :( My mom is taking this move especially hard. Her and my dad are so good to my kids. The kids love spending time with them. So I was trying to think of something to make for them, from the kids of course. WE made them cute coffee cups but I wanted to do something better. Now mind you, I lack crafty skills. I am just not a crafty person no matter how hard I try. My mom always says to the kids "I love you to the moon and back" so I thought it would be really cute to make a sign for them to hang in their room from the kids. I was going to make one for each kid to hang in their room too but after making one I've decided to just order some from

PCSing, I should be a pro by now

This is not my first rodeo but it sure does feel that way. I don't know if this happens to other Military wives but every time we move it feels like the first time. I can never remember how we did things last time. This is our first move with 3 kids. That alone is stressing me out. I have to pack and organize for 5 people plus 2 pets. Families bigger then mine, I have no idea how you do it. But I give you mad props.

Today to mover came to pack. The company scheduled two pack days but apparently we don't have as much crap as they thought. The packers got it all done today. We have decided to camp it out in the house for the next 2 nights. Friday the movers come to load it all and my parents come to take the kids for the weekend. All weekend I get to clean and paint the house...yay.....not! I always feel like I leave my house nicer then when we moved in.

I think the one thing I'm dreading the most is the drive. We have to make a 12 hr drive. We have 2 cars so I will drive the van with 2 kids and the dog. My husband will drive his hunk of junk with a kid and the cat. At this point I'm just praying his car makes it to Florida. I am fully prepared to sell it for scrap if it doesn't. lol.
